Curriculum for Life
This week Year 4 and 5 were able to participate in their first ever webinar hosted by Durham University Students from Hong Kong. Due to the current climate with Coronavirus, the students have not been able to carry on with their project face to face and are having to instead host webinars to spread their message. The idea of the webinar was to showcase Hong Kong sharing it’s history, geography and culture. The children listened to the history of Hong Kong and they were able to see various parts of the country. At the end of the webinar, the Durham University students prepared a quiz for the children to participate in on an online quiz platform called ‘Kahoot’. The children particularly enjoyed this experience and asked for more. Overall, the children enjoyed the webinar and enjoyed being hosted by the Durham University Students so much so that some of our children aspire to visit Hong Kong when they grow up.
